Một số động từ quy tắc, và một số
động từ bất quy tắc:
-Những động từ quy tắc trong câu
khẳng định ở thì quá khứ đơn tận cùng bằng ed .Ví dụ:work->worked;play->played;live->lived.Khi thêm-ed
sau động từ, cách viết đôi khi có thay đổi.Ví dụ :stop->stopped.
-Những động từ bất quy tắc thì các
dạng quá khứ hoàn toàn khác nhau .Ví dụ:come->came;see->saw;go->went.
2.Cách dùng
Chúng ta thường dùng quá khứ đơn
để diễn tả những hành động và tình huống trong quá khứ .

yesterday.-Ngày hôm qua tôi chơi đá bóng.

He lived
in London from 1970 to 1973.Then he moved to Manchester.-Cậu ấy đã sống ở
Luân đôn từ năm 1970 đến năm 1973.Sau đó cậu ấy đã dời đến Manchester.
